| ENLoCC meeting with
local authorities and business support
organizations |

The first ENLoCC (European Network of Logistic
Competence Centers) regional meeting organized
jointly by the Marshal Office of Wielkopolska
Province and the Institute of Logistics and
Warehousing took place on 5th of July. The meeting
was dedicated to the subject of „Regional logistics
development in Wielkopolska” as well as to the
issues of Public-Private Partnership.
Almost 40 representatives of local authorities and
business support organizations gathered in the
Conference Center on the premises of the Institute.
Marshall of Wielkopolska Province Mr. Kazimierz
Kościelny and Director of the Institute made welcome
speeches.
The first point of the program of the seminar was a
presentation of “Regional development strategy in
Wielkopolska up to 2020” made by Mr. Grzegorz
Potrzebowski from Regional Development Department of
the Marshall Office.
The guest from Germany – Mr. Hans-Herman Enders (Head
of a Competence Centre from Stuttgart region)
presented the example of best practice in
stimulation of regional development – “Network of
innovation and competence centers in Stuttgart
region”
(see attached presentation).
Public Private Partnership was the subject of the
next two presentations. The first one presented by
Dr. Ireneusz Fechner from the Institute of Logistics
and Warehousing was dedicated to possibilities of
using PPP model in investment
projects in Wielkopolska region. The second one was
the example of benefits of the PPP model in
collaborative projects in Germany. The idea of this
kind of PPP was presented by Mr. Hans Herman Enders
on the basis of experiences of Competence Center
KLOK
(see attached presentation).
During the next presentation, participants had
possibility to familiarize themselves with ENLoCC
project. Mr. Maciej Tumasz, Head of the Market
Operations Department of the Institute explained the
idea of the European Network of Logistic Competence
Centers. Mr. Nowak (also a representative of the
Institute) presented the Logistic Competence Center
(LOCC) at the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing
– its objectives, tasks and specific measures as
well as the plan of events organized by LOCC in the
nearest future. Last point of the meeting was
presentation of representative of Chamber of
Commerce and Industry – Mrs Eleonora Sołtysiak about
“More cooperation” project. Last point

Participants of the meeting were invited to join the
network established by Logistic Competence Center.
The website
www.polloco.pl, newsletters and periodic
meetings are the main means of communication between
members of the network and LOCC.
The next meeting is planned for the 30th of
September. Until the end of July, members of LOCC
network are invited to make suggestions of the main
subject of the next meeting. By the end of August,
the detailed program of the next meeting will be
prepared.
