WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce that the South East European Research, a not-for-profit Research Centre of the University of Sheffield, UK and CITY Liberal Studies, Thessaloniki, Greece will host the 3rd International Workshop in Supply Chain Management and Information Systems (SCMIS 2005) between 6-8 July 2005.

The workshop is organized in cooperation with:

  • University of Sheffield, UK
  • CITY Liberal Studies, Greece
  • Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece
  • University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece
  • ELTRUN - Athens University of Economics and Business
  • Hong Kong Polytechnic University

  • University of Nottingham, UK
  • Lan Yang Institute of Technology, Taiwan


The workshop will take place at the Electra Palace Hotel in Thessaloniki, Greece.

The Workshop Aims to:

  • Explore the importance of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Information Systems (IS) for globalization.
  • Identify major challenges and development for SCM, IS and also logistics.
  • Illustrate the impact and current status of policy making on SCM, IS and logistics.
  • Recognize effective and efficient ways by which policy making and business strategy can be integrated for improved SCM, IS and logistics planning and implementation.
