Topics:

  1. Application of the meta heuristic methods in transportation and logistic processes and systems (November 23-24)
    This part is addressed mainly to operational researchers, IT developers, spatial planners, as well as representatives of industry and logistics sector, interested in practical application of the meta heuristic methods.
  2. Perspectives for integration of dispersed infrastructure resources into virtual logistics centres (November 24-25)
    This part is addressed mainly to logistics service providers, logistics centres operators, industry and distribution companies, representatives of public bodies.

10:00 – 13:00 Introduction to metaheuristics. Characteristics of metaheutistic procedures: Local Search, Simmulated Annealing, Tabu Search, Genetic Algorithms. Application in Transportation and Logistics. Single and multiobjective metaheuristics.

ELECTRONIC LOGISTICS PLATFORM – SUPPORT FOR LOGISTICS NETWORKS, SUPPLY CHAINS AND VIRTUAL LOGISTICS CENTRES

 

13:30 – 14:30 Presentation of a concept of the Electronic Logistic Platform (ELP) and its utilization for electronic commerce in logistic chains. Possible applications of metaheuristics to different categories of electronic – commerce problems.
ELP is a product being developed by the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing within the Governmental Programme on Structures and Mechanisms of development of e-business in Poland.
